Although the word "verdant" doesn't appear directly in the Bible, its description is richly woven throughout Scripture. Used to convey something covered with lush, healthy green plants and grass symbolizing life, prosperity, and spiritual vitality, Verdancy is found in the context of an intimate covenant relationship with The Good Shepherd and living under the fellowship of His watchful care and blessing. 

The term describes perfect beauty and abundance as seen in the Biblical description of the Garden of Eden (Gen. 2:9); faithful provision seenin the Promised Land (Deut. 11:10-12), green pastures (psalm 23:2) and spiritual growth, like a tree that flourishes even in dry times, remaining green and fruitful (Psalms 1:3; 92:12-14 & Revelation 22:2).
